What's RI STEM/Camp?
Every three months, we'll be releasing a new mini-camp focused on a different technical theme ("seasons"). Each camp will be composed of 6-10 weekly sessions, 1-2 hours in length, where kids will learn new skills and progressively build towards a final project.
Make no mistake! These won't be "kid projects." We will be building bonafide, super impressive legit projects. We'll be designing entire mobile games from scratch, creating robot alarm clocks, building web-connected sensors, and more.
Our focus will be on creating bite-size learning experiences that allow kids to push the boundaries of what they might otherwise have thought possible. Can your five year old really build a video game? Absolutely! And we want to show them how.

Who's Behind This?
My name is Ahmed Haque. I'm the proud parent of two (and soon to be three) young boys right here on Roosevelt Island. I'm an engineer by training and a long-time STEM educator.
I've spent much of the last ten years building STEM programs to help people land jobs in the tech sector. Technology programs I've helped create have been taught to over 100k learners across the globe, and have been used at leading universities like Columbia, UPenn, Berkeley, Georgia Tech, Rice, UCLA, and many others.
I'm starting this camp, because I believe kids on our island need more opportunities to see themselves as "inventors." This program is about giving kids exposure to cutting-edge technologies that will show them where the future is heading.

Bringing the Fun!
Our sessions will feel fun, hands-on, and perfect for the littlest of learners. Kids will brainstorm concepts, create mock ups, and learn to translate their ideas into reality.
We'll introduce students to skills like AI, Design, Coding, and Electronics. Each camp will offer kids a chance to work in small groups with trained mentors who will shepherd them through the design process.
Our job is to develop programs that leave your kids feeling proud of what they can accomplish.

Where Will Classes Be Held?
Right here on Roosevelt Island!
As a parent myself, I know how challenging it can be to haul your kids on the tram or cram them into the subways. That's why we're working to reserve space, here in our community, at the Good Shepherd Community Center, the Roosevelt Island Cultural Center, Cornell Tech, and Manhattan Park.
We want this to be a convenient, easy opportunity for your kids to experience new things. And hopefully, it can also be a break for all the tired parents as well!

"Cool!! How can I sign up?"
"How can I sign up?"
We love the enthusiasm! We're now currently taking enrollments for our Spring '25 Season: Little Game Builders!
In this season, we'll be teaching kids how to use their creativity with a whole lot of design, AI, and code to create their very own interactive mobile games.
As crazy as it sounds, we'll show your kids (even those as young as five) how to create the working code that powers their new favorite game.
Spots are limited and will up quickly! Choose your class session and we'll get you enrolled!
